About FitsMyCar
A UK reference for what fits your car, with the source shown for every value. Run by one person, funded by clearly labelled retailer links, and corrected in public.
Who runs it
FitsMyCar is run by Sean Turner, who builds internal data and finance systems for a living and started this site after spending an evening trying to work out which oil his own car actually needed. Every finder gave a different answer and none of them said where the answer came from. The fix was obvious: publish the handbook value, and publish the page it came from.
There is no team of mechanics behind this site and it does not pretend there is. What it has instead is a rule for every category that says what counts as verified, and a source line on every card so you can check for yourself.
What it covers
40 model generations of the cars most common on UK roads, with 536 fitment values verified so far across bulbs, wiper blades, engine oil and roof bars. Coverage grows in batches of the most-driven cars first; pages for a car go live only once at least one value on them has been verified.

How it is funded
Retailer links in the “Where to buy” sections are affiliate links and are labelled Ad. If you buy through one we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Retailers have no say in what the site says fits, and no retailer pays to be listed. Details on the disclosure page.
What it will not do
- Publish a value as verified without a source that meets the category's rule.
- Recommend an engine oil against an unconfirmed approval code.
- Copy US-market fitment data and present it as UK.
- Show prices or star ratings scraped from retailers.
- Invent reviewers, mechanics or testimonials.
