Bulb types by car

The exact bulb fitting for every light position — dipped beam, main beam, sidelight/DRL, front and rear indicators, brake/tail, reverse, front and rear fog, number plate.

Bulb fitting names (H7, H4, PY21W, W5W, P21/5W…) are standard across makes, so once you know the fitting you can buy any brand. The catch is that the fittings vary between generations of the same model, and rear clusters on most post-2010 cars use wedge-type bulbs that the older guides get wrong.

Every row shows the base halogen spec for the UK car. If your car has factory xenon or LED headlamps, those positions are sealed units and the halogen fitting doesn't apply.

40 cars with verified bulb types so far — cars still being checked are reachable from their make and model pages.
