This car has halogen headlamps. In the UK, a halogen headlamp unit on a car first used on or after 1 April 1986 must not be converted to LED or HID bulbs: the MOT inspection manual (§4.1.4) treats a converted unit as a fail, however bright or well aimed it is. “Retrofit LED H7” bulbs sold for these cars are for off-road use. Halogen upgrade bulbs (+150% and similar) are legal because the unit is unchanged. Sidelights, indicators and number-plate LEDs are a separate question — E-marked LED versions of those are road legal.
What dipped beam bulb does the Ford Fiesta Mk7 take?
H7. Verified — the source is shown on the card above.
Is the main beam the same bulb as the dipped beam?
No. The main beam is a H1, the dipped beam a H7. Buy them as separate bulbs. Mk7.5 facelift Zetec/Zetec S: H15 main beam/DRL.
Did the Fiesta Mk7 change bulbs at the facelift?
Main beam (high): H1. Mk7.5 facelift Zetec/Zetec S: H15 main beam/DRL
Can I put LED bulbs in the Fiesta's headlamps?
Not legally in a halogen unit — the MOT inspection manual treats a converted headlamp as a fail. Halogen upgrade bulbs are fine. Details in the legality section above.
What brake and tail light bulb does the Ford Fiesta Mk7 use?
P21/5W. Typical dual-filament; some cars separate P21W + R5W or LED tail. A twin-filament bulb — one bulb does both tail and brake.
