Checked by FitsMyCar against the sources above · how we check
Most trims of this car have halogen headlamps. In the UK, a halogen headlamp unit on a car first used on or after 1 April 1986 must not be converted to LED or HID bulbs: the MOT inspection manual (§4.1.4) treats a converted unit as a fail, however bright or well aimed it is. “Retrofit LED H7” bulbs sold for these cars are for off-road use. Halogen upgrade bulbs (+150% and similar) are legal because the unit is unchanged. Sidelights, indicators and number-plate LEDs are a separate question — E-marked LED versions of those are road legal.
What dipped beam bulb does the Hyundai Tucson TL take?
H7. Halogen projector on S/SE/SE Nav. Premium/Premium SE and facelift higher trims have bi-LED projectors (non-replaceable). No xenon on UK TL.. Verified — the source is shown on the card above.
Is the main beam the same bulb as the dipped beam?
No. The main beam is a HB3, the dipped beam a H7. Buy them as separate bulbs. UK code 9005 not used - write HB3. LED headlamp trims non-replaceable. autodoc also lists H7/H9 generically but spec chart says H7;H8;HB3..

What if my Tucson has xenon headlamps?

Can I put LED bulbs in the Tucson's headlamps?
Not legally in a halogen unit — the MOT inspection manual treats a converted headlamp as a fail. Halogen upgrade bulbs are fine. Details in the legality section above.
What brake and tail light bulb does the Hyundai Tucson TL use?
P21/5W. P21/5W (380) on halogen clusters: birnen-typ, agmvision and Abakus/Diederichs unit specs agree.
